Anthony McLean, HIS
Hearing Instrument Specialist
I have worked for Willoughby Hearing since 2010. My favorite part of the job is reconnecting people to the world around them. I love the unique story of each patient. My role is to find the perfect customized solution for everyone.
My name is Tom Schmidt, I was born and raised in Portland I have six older sisters and one older brother. I’m married to my beautiful wife Dana, we have four boys Tyler, Jared, Alex, Nick and live in Tualatin, Oregon. We spend our time going camping, working on our new truck project and playing with our dog, Abby. I started working when I was about twelve picking berries then worked for a nursery through my high school years then decided after high school to pursue a career working on cars which led to a 27 years at Lexus and 2 years in sales. After a couple years in car sales I realized that I liked working with people and helping them find solutions to their needs. I heard about “Starkey HearCare” through a friend and researched the company and really liked their core values. I hope that I can make the company proud and will look forward to meeting everyone.
Patient Services Coordinator
Karen Hein is a PSC. Karen is originally from (Edina, MN) and moved to (Yamhill, OR) in (2005). Karen attended University of Minnesota and started working at the McMinnville Hearing Center in 2010 and became part of the Starkey HearCare family May 2017. Karen began working in the hearing industry in 2010 and was drawn to their profession because there was a job opening and I was hired.
What Karen loves most about helping save hearing lives is Seeing someone who is hearing things they haven’t heard in a long time and they get that look on their face. It’s amazing. Karen strives to give a smile and a friendly greeting in her everyday work with patients. Outside of saving hearing lives, Karen loves hobbies such as taking care of chickens, goats, rabbits, cats and my beautiful Great Pyrenees dogs. We have a small hobby farm and I’m in charge of all animal care. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Also college and pro football. Go Vikings and Gophers!!
Pretty good place! I took my dad here and had a MUCH better experience than at My Hearing Centers. They had good options and my Dad was able to finally order his much needed hearing aids AND afford them! I'm so glad he went here.Katie Brooks, on Google
It was a quaint little shop with a nice clean environment. They have a really cool case that shows a lot of old hearing devices that is very entertaining while you wait for your appointment! The equipment used was really cool and up to date! I got to see inside...Phillip Buyas, on Google
